Any owner of property within the Village that abandons a private water well shall, within ten (10) calendar days of abandonment, notify the Building Inspector, on a form provided by the Building Inspector, of such abandonment. All abandoned wells shall be sealed in a manner that renders them watertight, and all above ground water well appurtenances shall be removed.
