(A) The city shall share the cost of work under the sidewalk system plan with property owners based on the type of work being performed.
(1) For new installations of sidewalks included in the sidewalk system plan the city shall pay one hundred percent (100%) of the cost of installation.
(2) For repairs of sidewalks carried out by the property owner under § 54.54 that are included in the sidewalk system plan the city shall share equally with the property owner the cost of repairs except for restoration of any disturbed areas. The city may provide materials for the restoration, but ultimate responsibility for restoration shall be the responsibility of the property owner.
(3) For repairs of sidewalks carried out by the city under § 54.55 included in the sidewalk system plan the city shall pay forty percent (40%) of the cost and the property owner shall pay sixty percent (60%) of the cost of repairs except for restoration of any disturbed areas. The city may provide materials for the restoration, but ultimate responsibility for restoration shall be the responsibility of the property owner.
(4) For removals of sidewalks excluded from the sidewalk system plan the city shall pay one hundred percent (100%) of the cost of removal except for restoration of any disturbed areas. The city may provide materials for the restoration, but ultimate responsibility for same shall be the responsibility of the property owner.
(5) For temporary removal and replacement of sidewalks to accommodate other work the responsible party for the other work shall be responsible for the entire cost of removal and replacement of the sidewalks including restoration of disturbed areas.
(B) The city shall not share in the cost of work for any sidewalk not in the sidewalk system plan regardless of the type of work being performed.
