§ 51.33 MAINTAINED BY CITY; LOSS OR DAMAGE BY USER.
   (A)   The Water Department shall maintain and repair all meters when rendered unserviceable through fair wear and tear and shall maintain them, if necessary.
   (B)   Provided, however, that where replacement, repair or adjustment of any meter, or replacement of the same because of its loss is rendered necessary by the act, neglect or carelessness of the owner or occupant of any premises, any expense caused to the Water Department thereby shall be charged against and collected from the water consumer or owner, and water service may be discontinued until the cause is corrected and the amount of charges collected.

§ 51.34 TESTING.
   (A)   Any meter installed on any pipe serving any property shall be removed and tested by the Water Department at the request of any property owner or occupant upon the payment of a deposit to cover the charge of the testing.
   (B)   (1)   If said meter is found to be accurate, within the limits of the guarantee by the manufacturer of the meter, the amount deposited shall be retained by the city.
      (2)   If, however the meter is found to be inaccurate beyond the limits of said guarantee, the deposit will be refunded.
   (C)   The meter shall be corrected or exchanged, and the water rentals collected from the owner or tenant requesting the test shall be adjusted by giving such owner or tenant credit on the charge made against him or her for the succeeding month of the amount with which he or she was overcharged by reason of the defective meter during the month concerning which complaint was made.

§ 51.35 EACH METER TO BE COMPUTED SEPARATELY.
   Where an individual consumer is supplied with water through more than one metered service, charges shall be computed separately for each individual meter.

RATES AND FEES
§ 51.50 FEES AND OTHER COSTS.
   (A)   Anyone who obtains a connection to the water system of the city shall be required to pay a fee therefor, and other applicable costs. All fees and costs herein will be set by resolution of the City Council.
   (B)   The person obtaining the connection, in addition to the connection fees, shall pay the actual cost incurred by the city crews as established by resolution of City Council.
   (C)   Any connection outside the city limits will be at a fee not less than double the in-city connection fee and monthly rate fee. All fees associated with this chapter may be set by resolution of City Council.
   (D)   The city water rates shall be $32.10 per month.
   (E)   Any person or entity desiring to connect to the city water shall pay a fee to the city prior to connection in the sum of $5,000.
      (1)   The rates and fees set forth above may be changed from time to time by resolution of the City Council.
      (2)   Any fees or rates previously adopted and approved by the city which vary from the rates set forth in this division (E) shall remain in full force and effect if not altered herein.
