(a) The Manager or the Chief of Police shall have authority to designate certain streets between certain termini as “two hour parking zones”. The designation of such zones shall become effective upon approval by motion of Council and upon the posting of appropriate signs.
(b) The two hour parking restriction shall apply between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Mondays through Saturdays. The two hour parking restriction shall not apply on Sundays or State legal holidays. The Manager or Police Chief may designate hours other than those previously set forth provided such designation has been approved by Council and is set forth on the signs.
(c) (1) No person shall cause, allow or permit any vehicle registered in the name of such person to be parked in a two hour zone for a period in excess of two hours.
(2) No person shall cause, allow or permit any vehicle operated by such person to be parked in a two hour zone for a period in excess of two hours.
(d) A police officer or police employee shall attach a notice on any vehicle parked in violation of this section. For a violation of this section, the owner or operator of such vehicle shall be subject to the penalty specified in Section 351.99(b).
