(a) All meetings of the Park Board are declared to be public meetings open to the public except as otherwise provided herein. The Board shall, by rule, establish a reasonable method whereby any person may determine the time and place of all regularly scheduled meetings and the time, place and purpose of all special meetings.
(b) The Board may hold an executive session only if a majority of the quorum of the Board determines, by roll call vote, to hold an executive session, which session shall be held at a regular or special meeting or at a special executive meeting if scheduled in advance at a regular or special meeting. Executive sessions can be held for any purpose and be at the discretion of the Board. The purpose of such executive session may, but is not required to, be disclosed. Any formal action of the Board shall be taken only in an open meeting and not during an executive session or any special executive session.
(c) Meetings of committees of the Board consisting of less than a majority of the Board shall not be deemed to be “meetings” and therefore not subject to this section. (Ord. 2063. Passed 8-27-07.)
