The Park Board shall consist of five members, three of whom shall be appointed by the Mayor, subject to the approval of Council by a vote of not less than two-thirds of a majority of its members, and two members shall be appointed by the Montpelier Board of Education. Park Board members shall be residents within the corporation limits of the Village of Montpelier.
(a) Park Board members shall serve for a term of five years unless a shorter period is necessary to comply with Section 10.02 of the Charter.
(b) Park Board members shall serve without pay.
(c) Vacancies on the Park Board occurring otherwise than by expiration of term including incapacity, shall be for the unexpired term and shall be filled in the same manner as the original appointment.
