§ 96.17 SURETY BOND REQUIRED.
   As prerequisite to the issuance of an excavation permit, the person applying for the permit shall file with the City Clerk-Treasurer a surety bond in an amount to be determined by the Board of Public Works and Safety or its designate to be sufficient to defray the cost of maintaining and making the final repairs at the excavation point. The bond shall have sureties satisfactory to the Board of Public Works and Safety or its designate and shall be conditioned on the permittee performing any duties required by this subchapter. For good cause, the Board of Public Works and Safety or its designate may waive the requirement of posting a bond.
