§ 72.15 DISABLED PARKING.
   (A)   Prohibitions. It shall be unlawful, and it is hereby prohibited, for any person to park any vehicle which is not bearing registration plates, decals or devices issued to a disabled person pursuant to ILCS Ch. 625, Act 5, § 3-616 or 11-1301.2, or to a disabled veteran pursuant to ILCS Ch. 625, Act 5, § 3-609, in any parking area or place identified in Chapter 77, Schedule IV. The privilege to park in such area or place herein granted is limited to the person to whom the special registration plates, decals or devices were issued and to qualified operators operating under such person’s express direction while such disabled or disabled veteran is present; accordingly, it shall be unlawful, and it is hereby prohibited, for any person who is not a disabled person or disabled veteran to park a vehicle bearing the special plates, decals or devices hereinabove described in a parking area of place identified in Chapter 77, Schedule IV, unless such person is in the presence of a disabled person or disabled veteran, or is wanting to pick up a disabled person or disabled veteran.
   (B)   Definitions.
      (1)   For the purposes of this section, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
         CODE. The Illinois Vehicle Code, ILCS Ch. 625, Act 5, § 1-100, as amended.
         DISABLED PERSONS. Those persons described in ILCS Ch. 625, Act 5, § 1-159.1.
         PARK. The standing of a vehicle, whether occupied or not, even though the standing is only temporary or for the purpose of loading or unloading passengers or merchandise.
         PERSON. Every natural person, firm, co partnership, association, corporation or entity.
      (2)   Any other term, word or phrase herein which is not defined herein and which may require a definition shall be defined as provided in ILCS Ch. 625, Act 5, §§ 1-101 et seq., if a definition is provided for therein, and if not, as provided in the Municipal Code of the City of Monticello.
