§ 93.03 BURNING.
   It shall be unlawful to burn or attempt to burn garbage, municipal waste, including landscape waste, or hazardous waste, within the City of Monticello, except as follows:
   (A)   Cardboard and paper may be burned in incinerators (not burn barrels) approved by the Superintendent of City Services, subject to any restrictions as reasonably may be placed upon this burning by the Superintendent of City Services;
   (B)   Wood, paper, and cardboard may be burned in fireplaces and wood burning stoves that are part of or erected within residential or commercial properties; and
   (C)   Charcoal and wood may be used for the preparation of food.
   (D)   This section shall not apply to the city acting in its corporate capacity when burning landscape waste or other materials in accordance with regulations of the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency, at facilities designated by the Superintendent of City Services.
