The following rules must be observed and carried out in all work relating to water main connections, or laying, relaying, or repairing water pipes:
A. All connections made with the water mains must be made under the direction of the Utilities Superintendent.
B. In excavating for laying service pipe in the streets or alleys, if the Utilities Superintendent shall consent, it may be done by digging pits and pushing, boring, or tunneling between. (Ch. 79, 1-1-1922)
C. In order to assure that the filling of cuts in streets, avenues, alleys and public grounds is done according to City standards, the City shall do such filling and charge the costs thereof to the owner of the land benefited thereby as provided in Section 8-4-6 of this Chapter. D. All work must be done under the supervision of the Utilities Superintendent. (Ord. 425, 7-24-1972; amd. 1998 Code)
