Section 101.12 is added to the 2016 Edition of the California Green Building Standards Code to read as follows:
101.12 Fee for Mandatory Measures. A fee of ten percent (10%) of the plan check/permit fee shall be assessed to verify compliance with the mandatory measure of this code.
Section 101.12.1 is added to the 2016 Edition of the California Green Building Standards Code to read as follows:
101.12.1 Fee for Tier Measures. When Tier 1 or Tier 2 measures need to be verified by the enforcing agency, an additional ten percent (10%) of the plan check/permit fee may be assessed.
Section 202 of the 2016 Edition of the California Green Building Standards Code is amended to read as follows:
SUSTAINABILITY. Consideration of present development and construction impacts on the community, the economy, and the environment without compromising the needs of the future.
Section 301.1 of the 2016 Edition of the California Green Building Standards Code is amended to read as follows:
301.1 Scope. Buildings shall be designed to include the green building measures specified as mandatory in this code. Voluntary green building measures are also included in this code the application checklists and may be included in the design and construction of structures covered by this code, but are not required unless they are adopted by a city or county as specified in Section 101.7.
