§ 13.04.340 INSPECTION OF BACKFLOW PROTECTION DEVICES.
   (A)   All approved backflow protection devices may be inspected and tested periodically for water tightness by the Utility Department.
   (B)   In addition to the foregoing requirements, the owner of any premises on which or on account of which check valves or other protective devices are installed, shall, as required by the regulations of the state of California, Department of Health Services to have certified inspections of devices for water tightness and reliability at least once a year. The devices shall be serviced, overhauled, or replaced whenever they are found defective, and all costs of repair and maintenance shall be borne by the customer.
