(A) The township is implementing and will continue to implement the flood protection activities that are presented in the application for CRS classification. We understand that CRS is a long-term commitment and in order for it to be cost-effective for the township to apply, a lasting relationship with FEMA and the CRS needs to be maintained.
(B) The application is hereby authorized for submittal to FEMA in order to obtain a reduction in the premium rates for flood insurance policies on properties in the township.
(C) The township will duly appoint the CRS Coordinator. He or she shall be the main point of contact for all matters relating to the CRS. The CRS Coordinator is responsible for submittal of all documentation needed for the application, verification, and annual recertification.
(D) All township staff will provide the CRS Coordinator with their full cooperation in fulfilling the township’s obligation to the CRS.
(E) The township understands that by joining the CRS, annual activities must be completed in order to maintain the status. The township understands that the activities, consisting of providing copies of relevant materials (e.g., newsletter articles), maintaining elevation certificates, permit records, and Flood Insurance Rate Maps, and the like, at a minimum, consist of a few days of the staff time per year.
