§ 30.02 RECREATION ADVISORY BOARD.
   The Township Recreation Advisory Board shall be created as follows.
   (A)   The Township Recreation Advisory Board shall be composed of seven persons appointed by the Supervisors. The members shall serve for a term of five years or until their successors are appointed. Members shall be appointed for such terms that the terms of not more than two members shall expire annually. Members of the Board shall serve without pay. Vacancies occurring otherwise than by expiration of term shall be for the unexpired term and shall be filled in the same manner as original appointments.
   (B)   The members of the Board shall elect their own chairperson and secretary and select all other necessary officers to serve for a period of one year; and shall have power to adopt rules and regulations for the conduct of all business within the Board’s jurisdiction.
   (C)   The duties of the Board shall be as follows:
      (1)   Make recommendations and provide advice to the Board of Supervisors concerning the use, maintenance, and development of the parks and recreational facilities and programs owned and operated by the township, including, but not limited to the following:
         (a)   Rules, regulations, and practices concerning the utilization of parks and recreational facilities and programs;
         (b)   Scheduling of fees for use of facilities and participation in programs; and
         (c)   Recreational needs of township residents.
      (2)   Make recommendations to and provide advice to the Board of Supervisor concerning implementation of the recommendations of the Parks, Recreation, and Open-Space Plan for Eastern Snyder County;
      (3)   Provide such other input pertaining to township parks and recreation matters as may be requested by the Board of Supervisors;
      (4)   Sponsor community events; and
      (5)   Undertake activities to raise funds for recreation facilities and programs.
