§ 91.10 VIOLATIONS OF CHAPTER.
   (A)   This chapter shall be enforced pursuant to § 10.19 and § 10.99 of the City of Monroe Code of Ordinances, provided, however, that the maximum fine for violation of this chapter shall be as follows:
 
First offense:
$100.00
Second offense:
$200.00
Third offense:
$500.00
 
   (B)   Violations of §§ 91.21 through 91.25 shall be enforced utilizing the civil penalty procedure in § 10.19. Upon issuance of the second civil penalty to an individual within a 12-month period, the Animal Control Officer is authorized to seize and impound the dog. In addition, it shall be the duty of the Animal Control Officer of the city to apprehend any dog found running at large contrary to the provisions of this subchapter and/or state statutes to impound such dog in the Union County Animal Shelter. Animal Control Officers are authorized to summarily seize and impound any dog the officer has probable cause to believe the dog is in eminent danger of harm, injury or death or is subjected to extreme abuse. The owner of any dog impounded shall be notified in accordance with county regulations, and disposition shall be in accordance with county regulations.
