(A) No Parking: At any time it shall be unlawful to permit any vehicular parking on the following streets:
From the Dixie Highway east on Mill Street to the entrance to Island Park.
Harvard Street in the city; provided, however, that the parking of motor vehicles is hereby allowed on both sides of Harvard Street in the 100 block only.
North on Illinois Route 1 also known as Dixie Highway to River Street.
On both sides of Dixie Highway from Second Street to Third Street.
On both sides of Illinois Route 1/17, also known as Range Street, from Mechanic Street northerly plus or minus five hundred feet (±500') to the north corporate limits of Momence.
The junction of Route 1 and 17 and Route 114, also known as Illinois Route 1.
The north and south sides of Industrial Drive at any time.
Walnut Street between Oregon Street and Vermont Street.
West Washington Street from Pine Street to Hill Street.
1. At any time it shall be unlawful to permit the parking of any truck whose gross weight exceeds eight thousand (8,000) pounds on the following streets:
The east side of South Gladiolus Street between Vermont Street and Oregon Street and the east and west sides of South Gladiolus Street from Oregon Street to the south end of South Gladiolus Street. (Ord. 612, 10-17-2006)
(B) During Certain Hours:
It shall be unlawful to park any motor vehicle on either side of West Second Street between Franklin Street and Hickory Street between the hours of eight o'clock (8:00) A.M. and four o'clock (4:00) P.M.
It shall be unlawful to park any motor vehicle on the north side of West 4th Street between Dixie Highway (Route 1) and Pine Street on school days, between the hours of seven o'clock (7:00) A.M. and eight thirty o'clock (8:30) A.M., and between the hours of two o'clock (2:00) P.M. and three thirty o'clock (3:30) P.M.
Any person who violates any provision of this subsection is guilty of a petty offense and shall be fined in accordance with the City of Momence approved fine list found in section 1-4-1 of this Code. (Ord. 768, 8-5-2013)
(C) Overweight Vehicles: It shall be unlawful for any person to park any vehicle with an empty weight of more than eight thousand (8,000) pounds or any vehicle with more than fourteen (14) wheels on Mechanic Street on either side thereof between Pine Street and State Route 1 otherwise known as the Dixie Highway at any time. (D) Residential Areas: It shall be unlawful for any person to park any motor vehicle on either side of the 500 block of North Chestnut Street or on the north side of the 300 block of East Washington Street or 121 E. Second Street, unless said motor vehicle belongs to a resident of said block and those in the 500 block of North Chestnut Street, both sides and the 300 block of East Washington Street, on the north side, are hereby designated as an area for residential parking only and shall be posted as such. No person shall park any vehicle on the west side of North Locust between Mechanic Street and railroad tracks in the 700 block of North Locust unless such person is a resident of said neighborhood or is visiting a resident of said neighborhood, and no person shall park his or her vehicle in front of any property on the east side of the 700 block of North Locust used for residential purposes unless such person is a resident of said neighborhood or is visiting a resident of said neighborhood.
