(A) Vehicles that display a "For Sale" or similar sign shall be parked in a lot on a hard surface where the sale of new or used vehicles is permitted. (Hard surface includes: gravel, asphalt, and concrete.)
(B) A private individual may only park a vehicle with a "For Sale" sign for display at that individual's home on a hard surface, including the driveway or roadway in front/side of the residence. (Vehicles are prohibited from being displayed on soft surfaces, such as grass or dirt.)
(C) A vehicle with a "For Sale" sign may not be maintained or parked for display in the public right of way or public property for the sole purpose of selling. (This section does not apply if the vehicle is parked incidental for other purposes.)
(D) Any individual who violates any provision of this section shall be subject to penalty as provided in this code, and as established in the list of fines (subsection 1-4-1(B) of this code). (Ord. 765, 7-15-2013)
