The city clerk shall forthwith deliver said application and accompanying items to the city council and said city council shall act on said application as soon as they have had a reasonable time to investigate the qualifications of the applicant, the premises and the proofs submitted.
If a license is granted, said city council shall immediately pay the license fee received to the city treasurer to be deposited in the general fund of the city. (Ord. 236, 9-5-1978)
