On the effective date of this Charter: the salaries of members of Council, excluding the Mayor, shall be seventy dollars ($70) per month; the salary of the Mayor shall be two hundred and fifty dollars ($250) per month; and the members of all boards and commissions shall serve without compensation.
On and after the effective date of this Charter the compensation of members of Council and the Mayor established by or under this Charter may be changed at any time in accordance with law. The compensation of members of Council and the Mayor shall not be decreased during the term for which they were elected or appointed except that in the event the Mayor no longer exercise judicial functions, his salary shall be reduced to that of a Councilman plus an honorarium of fifty dollars ($50) per month. The compensation of all other officers and employees of the Municipality may be increased or decreased at any time by ordinance.
