   (c)   Full-time Police Officers and Full-Time Dispatchers having to work a holiday will receive their regularly paid holiday (eight (8) hours) as well as time and one-half rate for each hour worked, or they may receive their regularly paid holiday (eight (8) hours) as well as additional compensatory time at time and one-half for each hour worked. Provided, however, that in the event a police officer or dispatcher is scheduled to work a twelve (12) hour shift on a holiday to earn eighty (80) pensionable hours for the regular bi-weekly pay period, then in that event, the employee’s regularly paid holiday (eight (8) hours) will be combined with the required hours of actual time worked on the holiday (four (4) hours) to earn their required shift hours (twelve (12) hours) to reach eighty (80) pensionable hours for the regular bi-weekly pay period, and the remaining hours actually worked on the holiday (eight (8) hours) will be paid as time and one-half rate or as compensatory time at time and one-half for each remaining hour worked on the holiday (eight (8) hours). Dispatchers or Police Officers who are not scheduled to work on the holiday shall receive their regularly paid holiday pay (eight (8) hours) at their normal rate, which hours may be counted toward earning eighty (80) pensionable hours for the regular bi-weekly pay period. Full-time Police Officers and full-time Dispatchers may elect to take their unworked holiday as compensatory time, which compensatory time may be counted toward earning eighty (80) pensionable hours for the regular bi-weekly pay period. Said election is to be made during the holiday pay period. Any compensatory time earned or elected associated with a holiday shall be recognized as normal compensatory time. (The term holiday compensatory time will be referred to and deemed compensatory time). No full time Police Officer or Dispatcher may accumulate in excess of 100 hours of total compensatory time.
