379.02 DRIVING RESTRICTIONS.
   (a)   Any driver of a golf cart on either public or private property shall have a valid driver’s license and be at least 19 years of age, unless the legal guardian or parent, who is also a licensed driver, is sitting next to the driver. The golf cart can only transport as many people as there are seats originally installed by the golf cart manufacturer. All passengers must be seated with no one riding outside the seated area.
   (b)   If used on public or private property, the owner or operator must carry and show proof of insurance that meets state requirements for motor vehicles.
   (c)   Golf carts are not permitted to operate on State Highways or roads that are posted over 25 mph. Golf Carts are permitted to cross directly over State Highways.
