11-1-7: HARDSHIP VARIANCE:
Should a property owner clearly demonstrate that, because of a particular physical condition pertaining to his land and not to other lands similarly zoned, that the literal enforcement of one or more requirements of this title is impractical or will cause a particular undue hardship not suffered by other owners of similarly zoned property, the board of adjustment may allow such variance from the strict application of this title as is necessary to relieve the hardship, upon a finding that such variance is necessary and will not be inconsistent with the general purposes and intent of this title.
