5-1-6: NUISANCE ABATEMENT PROCEDURES:
   A.   Investigation Of Complaints: The health department shall cause every nuisance dangerous to health and human life, within its jurisdiction, to be abated. When complaint of such nuisance is made, the board of health shall cause the matter to be investigated and shall determine whether or not the alleged nuisance is detrimental to the public health. (1988 Code § 7.04.010)
   B.   Notice Of Nuisance: Whenever the health department shall determine that a nuisance detrimental to health exists, it shall, in writing, notify the owner or occupant of the premises where such nuisance may be found and shall order the abatement or removal pursuant to such order.
   C.   Summary Abatement: The health department may summarily proceed to abate or remove the nuisance, or it may cause an action to be brought in the name of the state of Utah by the county attorney for the abatement of such nuisance. (1988 Code § 7.04.020)
