Pursuant to and in accordance with Section 12.03 of the Milford City Charter, the Council of the City of Milford hereby incorporates by reference the 1994 edition of the Southwest Ohio Fire Safety Council Unified Fire Code and the 2007 Ohio Fire Code, as currently in effect and as may be amended in the future. The purpose of the adoption of the Unified Fire Code and the Ohio Fire Code is to prescribe minimum standards and requirements to protect life and property from the hazards of fire and explosion arising from the storage, handling, or use of substances, materials and devices, and from hazardous conditions to life or property in the use or occupancy of buildings or premises.
