In accordance with I.C. 9-21-11-9, it shall be unlawful to operate a bicycle upon the streets, one-half hour after sunset and one-half hour before sunrise without a light on the front of the bicycle which shall emit a light visible from a distance of a least 500 feet to the front and with a reflector or light on the rear of a type approved by the Department of Motor Vehicles which shall be visible from a distance of at least 500 feet to the rear when directly in front of lower beams of head lights on a motor vehicle.
