(a) No person shall demolish or cause to be demolished any building or structure, or any part thereof without first obtaining a permit from the Building Inspector .
(b) Application for such permit shall be made in writing to the Building Inspector on blank forms furnished by the Building Inspector.

The fee for a permit for the demolition of a building or structure, shall be at the rate of five dollars ($5.00) for each ten feet in the height of such building or structure, plus one percent (1%) additional for each foot of street frontage of the building or structure in excess of fifty feet.

After a permit has been issued, it may be revoked if the work for which such permit was issued does not commence within sixty days from the date on which it was issued and/or the work described is not completed within one year after the date of issuance. Revocation may be accomplished by written notice served upon the owner of the land on which the proposed construction is to take place, his architect, general contractor or designated agent; or by fixing such notice to the visible part of the premises involved.
