§ 92.05 CITY MAY REMOVE ABANDONED STORAGE TANKS.
   If the owner of property has not made adequate arrangements for the removal and disposal of an abandoned underground petroleum products storage tank within 30 days after the date of the notice specified in § 92.04 above, the city may solicit bids and contract for the removal and disposal of the abandoned storage tank. Upon completion of the removal and disposal of the abandoned storage tank, the City Clerk/Treasurer shall forward to the property owner, at the address shown on the ad valorem tax bill for the city, a certificate of completion indicating the date of completion of the removal and disposal of the abandoned storage tank and the cost to the property owner. The cost to the property owner shall be immediately due and payable upon the mailing of the certificate of completion.
