§ 52.03 SUMP PUMPS.
   (A)   Sump pumps permitted within city system. Auxiliary pumps, commonly referred to as sump pumps, may be used and maintained for the purpose of pumping the water that is registered and calculated by the city meter system. Under no conditions may the pumps be used and maintained for the purpose of pumping foreign water or matter through the city sewer system.
   (B)   Sump pumps to be registered. All these auxiliary pumps shall be registered with the Clerk/Treasurer at the time of connection. The usage and maintenance of the pumps for the purpose of pumping meter water shall entitle city officials to periodically inspect the pumps for the purpose of determining whether they comply with reasonable state, county and city sanitation and health requirements.
