§ 90.50  PANHANDLING OR BEGGING PROHIBITED.
   (A)   Prohibition. It shall be unlawful for any person to panhandle, ask, beg, solicit or otherwise canvass for money, alms, or contributions on any highway located at or near the intersection of N.C. Highway 24/27 and U.S. Highway 601.
   (B)   Definitions. For purposes of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or require otherwise.
      HIGHWAY. Any road, street, highway, median, shoulder, or any other area between the travel lane and the back of the curb.
      PANHANDLE, ASK, BEG, CANVASS, or SOLICIT. Include, without limitation, the spoken, printed or written word or other such acts as are conducted in furtherance of the purpose of obtaining money, alms or contributions.
