§ 1810.04 EXCEPTIONS TO VACCINATION REQUIREMENT.
   (a)   Transient dogs, cats, or ferrets. This chapter shall not apply to a dog, cat, or ferret owned by a person temporarily remaining within the City for less than 30 days, a dog brought into the City for field trial or show purposes or hunting dogs brought into the City for less than 30 days. Such dogs, cats, or ferrets shall be kept under the strict supervision of the owner. However, no person shall bring a dog, cat, or ferret into the City which does not comply with the animal health laws and import regulations of the State which are applicable to dogs, or cats, or ferrets.
   (b)   Competitions. It is recommended that organized shows and field trials require current rabies vaccinations as a prerequisite to registration therefor.
