§ 1422.01 DEFINITIONS.
   (a)   ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR WORK. Means and includes the work of installing wires, conduits, apparatus, fixtures and other appliances for carrying or using electricity for light, heat or power purposes.
   (b)   MASTER ELECTRICIAN. A person registered as a master electrician with the City. In order to register as a master electrician the person must possess an active license issued by the Ohio Construction Industry Examining Board in accordance with Ohio R.C. Chapter 4740 for an electrical contractor as that term is defined in Ohio R.C. 4740.01(B), (hereinafter a State license). Only a master electrician may apply for permits and be the representative of the business entity in all matters relating to Title Six of Part Fourteen of the Codified Ordinances.
   (c)   ELECTRICAL JOURNEYMAN. A person registered as an electrical journeyman with the City, and performing the actual physical electrical contractor’s work. An electrical journeyman must be working under the general direction and supervision of a master electrician registered to work in the City. Electrical journeyman contractors cannot obtain permits.
   (d)   ELECTRICAL APPRENTICE. A person, registered as an electrical apprentice with the City, who is employed by a master electrician registered to work in the City and in the process of learning the electrical trade by practical experience, under the instruction and direct supervision of a master electrician or electrical journeyman.
