§ 1402.01 RESIDENTIAL CODE OF OHIO ADOPTED.
   Pursuant to Article IV, § 6, of the City Charter, there is hereby adopted by and for the City, for the purpose of establishing rules and regulations for the design, erection, construction, alteration, repair and demolition of one, two and three-family dwellings, that certain code known as the Residential Code of Ohio, current edition as adopted by the State of Ohio, with the following exceptions:
   (a)   Deleting the test Appendix A, “Industrialized Units and Manufacturing Homes” and substitute the following: “Industrialized, modular, or factory-built units shall be approved, inspected and labeled by the State of Ohio. Manufactured homes shall be designed, constructed and certified under the rules set forth by the National Manufactured Housing Construction and Safety Standards Act of 1974 (USC §§ 5401 et seq.). Evidence of such approval shall be submitted, along with an application for permit for all work to be constructed or completed on the building site. Work accomplished on the building site is subject to review and inspection in accordance with the Code. Drawings showing all on-site construction and utility connections, and the relation of the on-site work to the industrialized unit or manufactured home will be required to be submitted for review. Further regulation of the manufactured or “mobile home” is prescribed in the local Zoning Ordinance and the City of Middletown sanitary and water regulations.”
   (b)   Deleting Chapter 1, “General Administration,” and replacing it in its entirety with Exhibit “A”, which is on file in the Office of Building Inspection.
