For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
(a) AUTHORIZED PERSON. Any representative of the Department of Public Works and Utilities or the Division of Police.
(b) CITY OF MIDDLETOWN. The Department of Public Works and Utilities or the Division of Police.
(c) DEADLY WEAPON. Any instrument, device or thing capable of inflicting injury or death, and designed or specifically adapted for use as a weapon or possessed, carried or used as a weapon.
(d) FIREARM. Any deadly weapon capable of expelling or propelling one or more projectiles by the action of any explosive or combustible propellant. Firearm includes an unloaded firearm, and any firearm which is inoperable but which can readily be rendered operable.
(e) FISHING. To take or attempt to take fish by any method and all other acts as placing, setting, drawing or using any device commonly used to take fish whether resulting in such taking or not.
(f) MOTOR VEHICLE. Any vehicle propelled or drawn by power other than muscular power, including a motorized bicycle, motorcycle or motor scooter.
(g) PARK. Any land or water area owned, leased or otherwise controlled by the City of Middletown and designated for recreational or open space purposes.
(h) PARK WATERS. Any lake, pond, reservoir, stream, channel, lagoon or other body of water, or any part thereof, whether natural or artificial, with the location in or adjoining a park.
(i) PERSON. Any individual, company, partnership, corporation, association, any combination of individuals or any employee or agent or officer thereof.
