§ 1028.04 ATTACHING OF NUMBERS TO HOUSES.
   (a)   The owners, occupants, or persons having control of a residential, commercial, industrial, public, institutional, or apartment building shall firmly affix address numbers on or near the entrance door so as to be clearly visible and unobstructed from view from the street on which the building faces. They shall be Arabic numbers at least four inches in height, made of durable material, and shall contrast with the color of the surface on which they are mounted.
   (b)   For buildings that are not clearly visible from the street onto which the building faces or has its main access, the owner shall:
      (1)   Firmly affix numbers on the wall of the building that faces the street so as to be clearly visible, or;
      (2)   Firmly affix numbers on a permanent sign that shall be placed and maintained within the property limits near the street.
   (c)   For residential or business complexes with one or more main access points where the units face an internal private road or access, the owner shall:
      (1)   Firmly affix the allotted unit numbers on the front of the individual units so that they are clearly visible, and;
      (2)   Firmly affix the address numbers of the complex and range of unit numbers on a permanent sign that shall be placed and maintained within the property limits at the point of access.
   (d)   For commercial or industrial buildings subdivided into individual units, the owner shall: firmly affix numbers on the front of each unit so that they are clearly visible.
   (e)   For multi-family buildings, owners shall:
      (1)   Firmly affix address numbers on the front face of each individual unit.
      (2)   Unit numbering shall be from left to right as seen facing the building. The first digit of each unit number shall indicate the floor of the building on which the unit is located.
