There shall be assigned a number for each house or building and each location for a house or building abutting upon the public and/or private streets of the City. New addresses are assigned to the street that the front of the building is facing. All newly annexed areas may be renumbered if it is determined that the existing addressing is inconsistent with the existing City block grid system. Street names may be changed if they duplicate existing street names.
