§ 436.14 REPORTING OTHER THAN STREET ACCIDENTS BY OWNER.
   (a)   The owner of any motor vehicle, who is not the operator thereof but which is involved in any accident on public property other than a public street or on private property other than his or her own, having knowledge of such accident, shall report it to a police officer or the Police Division within 24 hours after the vehicle is returned to his possession from the operator thereof who was involved in the accident.

   (b)   Whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the first degree.
