The Chief of Police shall serve as an ex-officio member of the Board, but shall not be a voting member of the Board. City Council shall appoint one of its members to serve in their capacity as a Councilperson, as a liaison and voting ex-officio member to the Board. The Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge #36 may, at its option, appoint a person to serve as an ex-officio, voting member of the Board. The City Manager shall appoint a designee to serve as a voting ex-officio member of the Board. These four ex-officio members shall be included in the maximum of 20 members.
