(a) Effective January 1, 1983, each uniformed member of the Division of Fire, upon his or her appointment, shall be furnished appropriate uniform wearing apparel as determined by the Director of Public Safety. Each year thereafter he or she may request replacement of required uniform wearing apparel in accordance with Administrative Regulation I-37, Paragraph 5, and within guidelines set by the Division, up to a maximum of one hundred seventy-five dollars ($175.00) for ordinary replacement. Damaged items shall be replaced upon a showing of need, in accordance with Administrative Regulation I-37, Paragraph 5A.

(b) The Fire Chief and Assistant Fire Chief shall receive a uniform purchase credit of two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) per annum and shall receive three hundred dollars ($300.00) for uniform maintenance reimbursement, payable in December.
