§ 224.06 RESPONSIBILITY OF CITY TREASURER.

If at any time for any cause whatever any money is not on deposit in a depository as provided in Ohio R.C. Chapter 135 or permitted to be retained by such law or otherwise authorized to be invested by law, such money shall be deemed to be in the custody of the City Treasurer who shall be responsible therefor.
