The annual salary for Corporate Counsel shall be negotiated based upon qualifications and experience, but shall not exceed $65,000 for the first year. Thereafter, the annual salary shall be established by the corporate authorities of the city in the annual appropriation ordinance. As a part-time position, the Corporate Counsel shall not receive health insurance, life insurance, retirement, paid vacation, paid holidays, paid sick or personal leave, or other benefits provided to fulltime employees.
