(A) There is hereby created within the City of Metropolis Police Department a position to be known as the Ordinance Enforcement Officer; which position shall report to and be under the direct supervision and responsibility of the Chief of Police of the City of Metropolis.
(B) That the qualifications for and general duties and responsibilities of the Ordinance Enforcement Officer are those set forth in § 31.156.
(C) That the Chief of Police of the City of Metropolis Police Department is authorized, upon adoption of this section to assign personnel to fill the position or assignment of Ordinance Enforcement Officer.
(D) That this section supercedes all prior ordinances, resolutions, or motions or portions thereof in conflict herewith.
(E) That the provisions of this section shall be deemed separable and the invalidity of any division or portion of this section shall not affect the remainder which shall be in full force and effect.
