(A) The Comprehensive Plan for the City of Metropolis as presented by the City's Comprehensive Planning Task Force and recommended by the City Plan Commission is hereby adopted as the Comprehensive Plan for the City of Metropolis, Illinois and incorporated herein by reference as if set out in full.
(B) The City Clerk is authorized and directed to print sufficient copies of the Comprehensive Plan as she deems necessary to make the same available to the public. Further, copies of the Comprehensive Plan shall be maintained and made available to the public in the City Clerk's Office, the Office of Planning and Zoning for the City of Metropolis, and the Metropolis Public Library. A copy shall also be placed with the County Recorder of Massac County. In addition, when and as needed, the City Clerk shall obtain and publish additional copies of said Comprehensive Plan.
(C) This chapter, and the Comprehensive Plan adopted herein, repeals and supercedes any and all prior ordinances, resolutions, and motions in conflict herewith and expressly repeals the prior Comprehensive Plan for the City of Metropolis which was adopted in 1964.
(D) This chapter and the Comprehensive Plan adopted herein shall become effective upon the expiration of ten days after its adoption, approval, and publication as required by law and the filing by the City Clerk of a notice of the adoption of such Comprehensive Plan with the recorder of the county.
