Before any license shall be issued under the provisions of this chapter, the applicant shall file with the City Clerk a petition sworn to by the applicant under his or her personal oath stating in a general way the nature of the pinball machine or amusement device to be operated in the establishment, showing full compliance with the laws of the state in reference to gambling devices and the gambling laws of the state, and further stating that the pinball machine or amusement device shall be operated for amusement only.
