(A) Except as may otherwise be permitted by state statute, or as may otherwise hereafter be provided, no person under the age of 21 years may have any alcoholic beverage in his or her possession on any street or highway or in any public place or in any place open to the public. This section does not apply to possession by a person under the age of 21 years making a delivery of alcoholic beverage in pursuance of the order of his or her parent or in pursuance of his or her employment.
(B) No retail liquor licensee shall employ any person under the age of 18 years as a servant, server, deliverer, or clerk in a business located or conducted on any licensed premises. A person of the age of 18 years and upward may deliver an alcoholic beverage or liquor in pursuance of his or her employment, as stated above. No person under the age of 21 years may prepare, draw, mix, or pour alcoholic liquor or beverages. No person under the age of 21 years shall be allowed in the immediate area where alcoholic beverages are being prepared, drawn, mixed, or poured.
(C) Except as is otherwise herein above provided to the contrary, no retail liquor licensee shall in any manner give, sell, or deliver any alcoholic liquors or beverages whatever to any minor, or any insane, distracted, or intoxicated person, or person in the habit of getting or becoming intoxicated, nor harbor, entice, or suffer any minor person or persons in the habit of getting or becoming intoxicated to be or remain about his or her place of business.
(D) It shall be unlawful for any person under the age of 21 to misrepresent his or her age for the purpose of purchasing or obtaining alcoholic liquor in any place in the city where alcoholic liquor is sold.
(E) In every place in the city where alcoholic liquor is sold there shall be displayed at all times in a prominent place a printed card which shall be supplied by the City Clerk and which shall read substantially as follows:
“WARNING
If you are under age, you are subject to a fine of up to $750.00 under the Code of Metropolis if you purchase alcoholic liquor, or misrepresent your age for the purpose of purchasing or obtaining alcoholic liquor.”
(F) It shall be unlawful for any parent or guardian to permit any minor child of which he or she may be the parent or guardian to violate any of the provisions of this section.
(G) It shall be unlawful for any person in the city to sell, give or deliver alcoholic liquor to any person under the age of 21.
(H) It shall be unlawful for any person and for the licensee or person in charge of the licensed premises, to violate or permit any person to violate any of the foregoing provisions of this section.
