(A) No license shall be issued, and it shall be unlawful to sell at retail any alcoholic liquor within 100 feet of any church, school, hospital, home for aged or indigent persons, or for veterans, their wives or children, or military or naval station. The 100-foot measurement is from the lot line of the premise for which the license is sought to the closest exterior wall of the other building. This prohibition shall not apply to hotels offering restaurant service, regularly organized clubs, or to restaurants, food shops, or other places where the sale of alcoholic liquor is not the principal business carried on, if such places of business so exempted shall have been established for such purpose prior to the taking effect of this chapter. No person shall hereafter engage in business as a retailer of alcoholic liquor within 100 feet of any funeral home or mortuary.
(B) No license shall be issued, and it shall be unlawful for any person to engage in the sale at retail of alcoholic liquor on Ferry Street, between Fifth Street and Tenth Street. Only a Class D, E, F, G, H, or L license may be issued to any person for a business located on Market Street between Fifth Street and Tenth Street. No more than four such licenses (other than a Class L) in total shall be issued for businesses located on Market Street between Fifth Street and Tenth Street.
