§ 91.01 EXCAVATIONS IN CITY STREETS AND ALLEYS.
   (A)   Permit required. Before any person, firm or corporation shall dig, drill, tunnel or in any other way excavate into the city streets or alleys for any purpose, he, she or it shall secure a permit from the City Clerk.
   (B)   Information required for permit. A permit shall be issued only after such person, firm or corporation shall furnish the following:
      (1)   The location where street or alley is to be excavated;
      (2)   The purpose for which excavation is being done;
      (3)   The person or firm doing the excavation work; and
      (4)   A $250 cash bond if the street or alley is not paved and $500 if the street or alley is paved.
   (C)   Refund of deposit. Upon completion of the job, the City Clerk shall be notified and after approval by the Street Superintendent as to adequacy of the repair done to the excavated part, the City Clerk shall refund the cash deposit.
   (D)   Violation. In the event the Street Superintendent doesn't approve the repair job, the cash deposit shall be transferred to the Street Department funds and the person shall be in violation of this section.
