Unless otherwise posted, the maximum speed allowable on the roadways of the city is 30 mph. The maximum speed allowable on the alleys of the city is 15 mph. It shall be unlawful to drive any motor vehicle at a speed in excess of the speed limit as set forth on the following streets of the city:
