§ 50.07 STANDARDS BY WHICH MATERIALS ARE JUDGED.
   Materials, devices, fittings, apparatus, and appliances for use under this chapter shall be judged chiefly with reference to the following considerations:
   (A)   Installation. Suitability for installation and use in conformity with this chapter;
   (B)   Strength. Mechanical strength and durability;
   (C)   Insulation. Electrical insulation;
   (D)   Heating. Heating effects under normal conditions of use and also under abnormal conditions liable to arise in service;
   (E)   Arcing. Arcing effects; and
   (F)   Noise and electrical interference. In the installation of all motors and other electrical equipment, the same shall be so installed and equipped with arresters, eliminators, or other approved noise eliminating devices so that the motors or other electrical equipment shall not interfere with the operation of radio receiving sets in the city and the owner or owners of the motors and electrical equipment as shall not comply with the provisions of this chapter shall be charged with the maintenance of a nuisance and it shall be the duty of the Light Superintendent to suspend service to the customer until alterations or repairs are made.
