§ 36.65 DEMOLITION EXPENSE REIMBURSEMENT GRANT POLICY AND PROGRAM.
   (A)   The corporate authorities of the city hereby approve the policy of the city to encourage private property owners to demolish and remove dangerous or unsafe buildings and any garbage, debris, or other hazardous, noxious or unhealthy substances or materials within those buildings. A copy of said policy is on file in the City Clerk’s Office and is incorporated herein as if appearing in total.
   (B)   The corporate authorities hereby approve the awarding of grants to private property owners for the reimbursement of actual out-of-pocket expenses incurred by said property owners in the demolition and removal of dangerous or unsafe buildings and any garbage, debris, or other hazardous, noxious or unhealthy substances or materials from within those buildings in accordance with the terms and conditions of the City of Metropolis Demolition Expense Reimbursement Grant Program, which is on file in the City Clerk’s Office and is incorporated herein by reference as if appearing in total. Further, that the corporate authorities hereby approve said terms and conditions of the City of Metropolis Demolition Expense Reimbursement Grant Program.
   (C)   The corporate authorities of the city hereby approve the form of the grant application, which is on file in the City Clerk’s Office and is incorporated herein by reference as if appearing in total, and authorize the City Clerk to make the same available to property owners within the city.
   (D)   Upon adoption and approval of this section, the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to implement and the terms and conditions of the City’s Demolition Expense Reimbursement Grant Program as outlined and approved in division (B), which is on file in the City Clerk’s Office and is incorporated herein by reference as if appearing in total.
