§ 36.55 RECOGNITION OF GMCVB AND APPROPRIATION.
   The City of Metropolis recognizes and acknowledges the Greater Metropolis Convention and Visitor’s Bureau as the official entity in the City of Metropolis for promoting tourism and conventions within the city and for attracting non-resident overnight visitors to the city. As a consequence, all taxes and penalties imposed and collected pursuant to this subchapter, shall annually be appropriated as follows:
   (A)   Five percent (5%) of the gross tax revenue collected each year shall be appropriated for and directed to defray the costs of administering and processing the imposition and collection of the tax.
   (B)   All the rest, residue and remainder of the tax revenue and any penalties collected each year shall be appropriated to the Greater Metropolis Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, or their successor in interest, to be used for the promotion of tourism and conventions within the city and to otherwise attract non-resident overnight visitors to the city.
